We Have Reached a New Milestone!
WE SAW WEEZER LIVE IN CONCERT!!!!!! It all started as I was driving down to Texas one Saturday morning a few months ago. As I past the Winstar Casino (where my paychecks come from), I noticed a big sign advertising that Weezer is coming on Oct 8. I was so excited that I called Audrey that same minute to break the big news. Audrey soon after got online and bought us some VIP tickets.
This band is in my top 5 greatest ever. I grew up listening to these guys. I remember when I got their first Album (the blue Album). I was 12 years old, and my Mom gave it to me for Christmas. I spent the rest of the morning listening to it on my cassette tape walkman while at my grandparents house in Utah. As I listen to the blue album now-a-days, it brings back memories of sitting on my grandma's 70's style furniture listening to "My Name is Jonas" while my Mom was trying to talk over my headphones to ask if I had a merry Christmas. Yes Mom, it was a very merry Christmas indeed.
So, back to the concert. We were there, and we were about 15 feet from the stage. At first, It appeared that Rivers Cuomo (lead singer) had tattoos all over his arms, but we were close enough to see that he was wearing those fake tattoo sleeves. How cool is that? At one point during the show, Rivers jumped off the stage and sang "El Scorcho" as he walked through the crowd shaking hands. He made his way back towards us, and he was just two rows in front of us. Audrey almost fainted. I tried to motion to him to come closer so we could shake his hand, but it just did not happen. None the less, it was a cool show. Audrey will probably want to make her own post later to share her experience at the Weezer show because she was so excited that she cried. Below are some pictures of the band.
And if you don't know who Weezer is, you should watch this video which was made back in 1994:
