Grass!!!

On friday we finally had the sod laid down in our backyard! This has been a long time coming since we've been in our house for a year already. This is what we have been living with:


Not so pretty. We had saved up the money for the grass, but since it's been so hot this summer, we decided to wait until it cooled off a little before we put it in. Well, this past week, the temperatures were a comfortable mid-80's, so we called up the sod farm!

Here's the yard after they finished laying all the grass down:


Still has seams and some lumps, but it's a vast improvement! We have to keep it pretty moist for the next two weeks while the roots dig in. I'm afraid to see what our next water bill is going to look like!
