Update
I guess I should probably update everyone on our situation. The day before Thanksgiving, we took off for Utah. Brian drove the u-haul and I was in the Honda with both girls. It's a 9 hour drive, but it took us about 12 hours to get to Tooele becuase we had to stop so often. The girls drove me crazy, but we survived and have been staying in Brian's brother's basement for the past couple of weeks.
Brian has been keeping busy looking for a new job. He spends his days sending out resumes and calling various recruiters. He wants to join the Public Health Service, so he's mostly been looking at jobs with the Indian Health Service and the Bureau of Prisons. We're hoping that he can start flying out for interviews pretty soon.
As much as we dislike Utah, we've enjoyed being able to spend time with family while we've been here. We got to go to my little sister's birthday party down in Provo and we had a new neice born this past Thursday! Greta's still getting used to being around other kids all the time. But I think it will be good for her.

Leaving Pendleton
Things got a little complicated here on friday. Brian's job hasn't worked out like we had wanted it to or planned and we're leaving Pendleton- on Wednesday. I know, it's kind of quick. We'll be staying with his brother's family in Utah for a little bit while he looks for a new job. We're glad to be done with this job because it was causing a lot of grief, but we're sad to have to start over so soon. We hope to end up someplace new and fun where Brian will enjoy his employment- wish us luck!

Family Pictures

We went and got family pictures taken for the first time. I figured we probably should since we have two kids already and didn't have any professional shots of all of us. We decided to go cheap to save money, so we headed off to the Wal-mart photo studio. The pictures turned out okay, but I was very annoyed at their prices. First off, they jacked up the cost simply because the holidays are coming up. And secondly- they have the nerve to charge $20 per sheet! I couldn't believe it! They don't even charge that much at JC Penney or Sears. All I wanted was a couple of 8 x 10's, 5 x 7's, and some sheets of wallets to send out with our Christmas cards this year. It would have been like $160. They have a package for $7.99 that has one 8 x 10, two 5 x 7, four 3 1/2 x 5, sixteen wallets, and a bunch of those worthless little mini pictures that you can't do anything with. I asked her "Well, why is this only $8, when you charge $20 a sheet if you get them all separately?" She said that it was because in the package, it was just the plain picture without any embellishments. That's all that I wanted anyway. I hate all of the extra crap that they add to the pictures. ugh. And yet, I would be paying as if I was getting embellishments even though I wasn't going to get them. So, after getting extremely annoyed, I ended up just buying the $7.99 package and adding on an extra black and white 8 x 10 and two sheets of wallets. And since she wasn't allowed to simply remove the sheet of mini pictures from my order, I will be stuck with them. If anyone wants one (or 10) please let me know.
